Belloy-sur-Somme

Belloy- sur -Somme is a northern French village with 769 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes de l' Ouest d' Amiens, in the canton Picquigny.

Geography

Belloy is located between Yzeux and La Chaussée- Tirancourt on the right ( northern ) bank of the Somme, whose valley is interspersed with ponds, approximately 3 km north of Picquigny. The church is from the Department road D1235 ( former Route nationale 35) running through it, the department D1001 road bypassing the north. To the north extends the municipal area to the section of historic Chaussée Brune skin, which takes its output in Amiens and leads to Ponches - Estruval on authie.

  • The War Memorial ( Monument aux morts - ).
  • The lower ( in the floodplain ) and the upper castle is entered ( at the north end of town ) with dovecote from 1765, 1966, 2009 and 2011 as a monument historique or classified ( Base Mérimée PA00116094 and PA80000071 ).

In the small castle of Belloy scenes of the published 1980 film Dumb Love ( La femme enfant ) of Raphaële Billetdoux were filmed with Klaus Kinski.
