Bertangles

Bertangles ( Picard: Bèrtangue ) is a northern French village with 584 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the Canton of Villers -Bocage (Somme ) and is part of the Communauté d' agglomà Amiens Métropole.

Geography

Bertangles is located approximately 10.5 km to the north from the center of Amiens on the road department D97 and extends from the Route nationale 25 in the east to the department of road D933 in the West. Also no longer operated railway line from Amiens to Doullens runs through the community. On the southern edge of the Bois de Bertangles the castle is.

History

The 1103 first mentioned Bertangles was under the rule of the Lords of Bertangles and later the de Glisy family until they came to Clermont- Tonnerre 1611.

Attractions

  • The Church of Saint -Vincent, 2001 registered as a monument historique ( Base Mérimée PA80000028 ).
  • Built in 1730-1734 under the Count of Clermont- Tonnerre, 1930 damaged by fire lock, with a wrought-iron lattice of Jean Veyren and a dovecote (1982 and 2006 classified as a monument historique, Base Mérimée PA00116222 ).
  • The gate to the medieval castle.
