Saint-Sauveur (Somme)

Saint- Sauveur ( Picard: Saint- Sauveu ) is a northern French village with 1427 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes de l' Ouest d' Amiens, in the canton Amiens -2 ( Nord-Ouest ).

Geography

Saint- Sauveur is located 5 km north- west of Amiens between La Chaussée- Tirancourt and Argoeuves on the right ( northern ) bank of the Somme, whose valley is interspersed with ponds, across from Ailly- sur- Somme, with which it is connected by a bridge, at the department road D191. The department D1001 road bypasses the town to the north. To the north extends to the municipality on the Autoroute A16 and the department D12 road ( section of historic Chaussée Brunehaut ) beyond the border of the municipalities of Saint -Vaast -en- Chaussée and Vaux -en- Amiénois.
