Gauville (Somme)

Gauville ( Picard: Gueuville ) is a northern French village with 379 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Sud -Ouest Amiénois, in the canton Poix- de -Picardie.

Geography

The municipality is located 4 km east-northeast of Aumale in the Haute -Normandie and 15.5 kilometers west of Poix- de -Picardie. The municipal area extends north to the Autoroute A29 and borders the municipalities Lafresguimont -Saint-Martin, Saint-Saturnin - Morvillers and Aumale and thus to the department of Seine -Maritime. Gauville is intersected by the department of roads D1015 and D512. In the west the municipality falls to the Valley of Bresle.
