Blangy-Tronville

Blangy -Tronville ( Picard: Blangin -Tronville ) is a northern French village with 551 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté d' agglomà Amiens Métropole, in the canton Boves.

Geography

Blanchy -Tronville is located in the south of the Amiénois marshy and a biotope ( Grand Marais de La Queue ) forming at the Somme département D167 road about 10 km east of Amiens and 7.5 km south-west of Corbie. Launched by the department of road D1029 ( former Route nationale 29) and the railway line Amiens Laon - laced ( with the no longer served breakpoint Blangy- Glisy ) area extends beyond the Autoroute A29. On the D1029 is the district of Le Petit Blangy, south of it, the Ferme de Bellevue.

History

Blanchy -Tronville is created by the merger of the two eponymous towns.

In preparation for the construction of Autoroute flint tools and tools from the Iron Age and Gallic coins were found. Earlier, a Merovingian sarcophagus had been discovered.

The reign of Tronville belonged to two thirds and one third Boves Fouilloy. 1105 Leprosenhaus is called. 1677 the still existing castle was built. Ecclesiastical belonged to the parish Tronville Blangy.

The rule went Blangy the castle rule ( Châtellerie ) Boves fief, which paid homage to the county Corbie. The feudal Mairie was acquired in 1298 from the Abbey of Corbie. At the beginning of the 17th century held the Protestants from their meetings at a source at the Pré des Huguenots. The Church of Blangy probably served originally ( in 1229 ) as a chapel.

During World War I the town was occupied by German troops in September 1914, but retreated after a few days. In March / April 1918, came the German attack on Villers- Bretonneux heavy fighting.
