Bourdon (Somme)

Bourdon ( Picard: Bordon ) is a northern French village with 386 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes de l' Ouest d' Amiens, in the canton Picquigny.

Geography

Bourdon is located about 8 km northwest of Picquigny on the right ( northern ) bank of the Somme, whose valley is interspersed with ponds, and is connected by a bridge with the lying on the opposite bank Hangest -sur- Somme. Through the village center run the department roads D57 and D81. The eastern part of the municipality is of the Territory road D1001 (1973 - 2006: Route nationale 1 Route nationale 35 previously ) running through it.
