Breilly
Breilly is a commune in the Somme in the Picardie region; it belongs to the district Amiens and Canton Picquigny. The municipality has 464 inhabitants (1 January 2011). It is situated at an average altitude of 30 m above sea level.
History
First mentioned was the place 1120. Yet the findings of Gallo-Roman sarcophagi in the place Le Montjoye suggest an earlier colonization. In 1766 the town was burned down.
Attractions
- The church of Saint -Sulpice was renewed in 1834 and has a wooden bust of the Saint Sulpice 18th century.
- On the outskirts is a remarkable little chapel.
