Bettencourt-Saint-Ouen

Bettencourt -Saint -Ouen ( Picard: Bétincourt -Saint- Ouin ) is a northern French village with 649 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Nièvre et environs, in the canton Picquigny.

Geography

Bettencourt -Saint -Ouen (earlier spelling: Bethencourt -Saint- Ouin ) is located on the south of the Nièvre department D57 road northeast of Flixecourt. The territory through which the Autoroute A16 runs, extends to the portion of the Chaussée Brune skin, which takes its output in Amiens and leads to Ponches - Estruval on authie; Marginal areas of the settlement complex of the town of Saint -Ouen (Somme ) thus belong to Bettencourt.

History

The rule of the community mentioned as Cité in 1140 paid homage by Picquigny. The castle was destroyed around 1760.
