Nampty

Nampty ( Picard: Nanty ) is a northern French village with 251 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Conty, in the canton Conty.

Geography

The municipality is situated approximately 11 km south-west of Amiens almost entirely on the right ( eastern ) bank of the Selle, guide over here two bridges and the roads department D8, D61 and D210. It extends east across the plateau between the rivers Selle and Noye almost to the Autoroute A16.

History

1470 Nampty was burned down by Burgundian troops.
