Bullay
Bullay is a municipality in the district Cochem-Zell in the middle of Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Zell an (Mosel) and is opposite of Alf on the Moselle. Bullay is a nationally recognized tourist.

History
It is certain that there was a Roman settlement in the territory of the municipality. The first documentary mention as Buley infra Cell comes the 1150. From 1470 to 1550 there were in Bullay mining operation. Four open men's gender had dominion over Bullay: Zand of Merl, Boos von Waldeck, of Metzenhausen and Kellenbach (later of Landsberg). Beginning in 1794, Bullay under French rule and was from 1798 to 1814 in the canton of cell in the Rhine -Moselle department. 1815 it to the Congress of Vienna was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1879, the Left Moseltalbahn was built. Since 1946 he is part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.
1993 comes to the biggest flood in the region, called the "Christmas Flood " or " flood of the century ".

Religion
As the only community in the Catholic majority district Cochem-Zell Bullay has since 14/03/2014 with its own mosque. Since here all 5 prayers of the day are offered. The mosque belongs to the Association of DiTiB. Most members of the community have Turkish or German roots. Muslims from other countries are after admission, the board of the mosque association Bullay always welcome.

Bullay is connected via the double-decker bridge with the left side of the Moselle and thus with the federal highways 49 ( Koblenz ) and 53 ( Trier ).
The Bullay (DB) railway station is located on the 1879 finished left Moseltalbahn Trier Hbf - Koblenz Hbf, is connected via the Bullay to the national intercity network of the Deutsche Bahn. The station is the starting point of the further features of the Mosel wine train to Traben -Trarbach.
Nationally known railway building is the double-decker bridge that leads from the station to the Prinzenkopf tunnel.
From 1905 to 1961, the Bullay South station was the northern edge of the Moselbahn Trier Nord - Bullay South, but this was dismantled in 1961 and replaced by buses.
