Elizabeth B. Andrews

Leslie Elizabeth Bullock Andrews ( born February 12, 1911 in Geneva, Alabama, † December 2, 2002 in Birmingham, Alabama) was an American politician (Democratic Party). She was the wife of U.S. Representative George William Andrews.

Career

Elizabeth Bullock Andrews attended the public school in Geneva. Then she graduated in 1932 at the Montevallo College with a Bachelor of Science degree. After that, she worked as a teacher. She was elected in a by-election in the 92nd U.S. Congress, there to fill the vacancy that was created by the death of her husband. She decided in 1972 against a candidacy for the 93rd U.S. Congress. Andrews is buried at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Union Springs (Alabama ).
