Jo Bonner

Josiah Robins " Jo " Bonner Jr. ( born November 19, 1959 in Selma, Alabama) is an American politician. He is a member of the Republican Party and represented from 2003 to 2013 the first congressional district of the state of Alabama in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Jo Bonner acquired in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He then studied for some time at the Law School of the university. From 1985 to 2002 he was on the staff of Congressman Sonny Callahan. When that did not run to Bonn was chosen to be his closest collaborator since the succession. He decided the election for himself and moved on 3 January 2003 in the Congress, which he continuously belonged after repeated re-election until August 2, 2013. In the 112th Congress, he chaired the ethics committee of the House of Representatives.
