Erches
Erches ( Picard: Erche ) is a northern French village with 172 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.
Geography
The community is located approximately eight kilometers northwest of Roye at the department of road D54 in the landscape Santerre. The municipal area extends north as far as the department of road D934 (formerly Route nationale 334). In the West, the department D329 road runs through Rosières -en- Santerre by Montdidier the community, it passes through the hamlet of Le Petit Erches.
History
The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
