Gaushorn

Gaushorn is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein.

History

The origins of the village are to be determined today only with archaeological resources. However, the first written records have a special significance. The Church in Tellingstedt is watching as a Church of Meldorfer church. In the texts of the founding of this church Gaushorn time is not mentioned.

Like many other communities Dithmarschens is also Gaushorn in the complaints of 1447 mentioned ( Urkundenbuch Michelsen p. 45 /46). Here can be mentioned in 1402 in the statement of the text the year. It is there, " ... as you wrote fourteen hundred in the other years, the Wednesday next before the honorable parties, commanded the feast of Christ 's body, ... " resulting in the May 24, 1402 results.

Policy

Since the local elections in 2013, the voters Community WGG all seven seats in the municipal council.

Economy and infrastructure

From 1905 to 1937, the town had a railway connection with the circular path Norderdithmarschen.

Federal highway 203 between Heath and Rendsburg directly by the municipality.
