Schrum

Schrum is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein.

History

The origins of the village are to be determined today only with archaeological resources. However, the first written records have a special significance.

Like many other communities Dithmarschens Schrum is also mentioned in the complaints of 1447 ( deed book Michelsen p. 45 /46). Here can be mentioned in 1402 in the statement of the text the year. It is there, " ... as you wrote fourteen hundred in the other years, the next Wednesday before the honorable parties, commanded the feast of Christ 's body, ...", which results in May 24, 1402 results.

The Church in Tellingstedt is watching as a Church of Meldorfer church. From the founding days of this church Schrum is not mentioned. But there are some records of Schrum ( Scrume ) from the 15th century as Schrum still belonged to the parish Tellingstedt. Only after the " last feud " 1559, when Dithmar was divided into three parts, Schrum came to Süderdithmarschen and thus to the parish Albers village.

Geography and transport

The community, with its wooded Geest area has 78.81 m above sea level. NN, behind the stud " Grimmstal ", the highest point in the circuit Dithmar.
