Marnerdeich is a municipality in the south of the district Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography

Marnerdeich has the character of a row village, located on both sides of the running in the east-west direction and 142 national road on the east side of the running in the north -south local road.

History

The country lying in the marsh was diked as part of the Great Koog Ammerswurth -Marne from 1578 to 1581. As an independent municipality was formed in 1840 after the area was legally separated from the adjacent town of Marne.
