Things is a municipality in the south of the district Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography

The municipality of things is about halfway between Saint Michaelisdonn and Brunsbuttel along Route 138 north of Eddelak

The municipality consists of the villages things Dingerdonn, Friedrichshof, mountain warriors and Sandhayn.

History

The history of the community things is closely linked to the Friedrichshof. The Friedrichshof was from 1576 for a short time a noble estate, but that the Danish king in 1579 ( Süderdithmarschen was King Country ) was adopted and initially served as the official residence of the royal governor. Later, the " march, Geest and bog lands " were parceled out and adopted by the community things.
