Wrohm

Wrohm is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein. Old Ferry, New Lexfähre and ferry terminals are in the municipal area.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the main road 203 about halfway between Heath and Rendsburg in an Eider bow on the eastern border Dithmarschens. In 2001, a new combined rescue fire station was built to reduce the times of arrival of the ambulance (RTW ) in the rural villages in the east Dithmarschens from Dithmarschen.

History

Wrohm was first documented in 1447 The name Wrohm to be due to the location of the village. " Place on the bay " or " place in the corner ."
