Trennewurth

Trennewurth is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geology

Trennewurth is the Dithmarsch Südermarsch. Southeast of the mound there are two Wehle, which originated in dam failures in the Middle Ages.

Community structure

The municipality is divided into Trennewurth, Trennewurtheraltendeich, Trennewurth renewal dike and Trennewurtherkrooge. It lies about halfway between the Marne and from Meldorf. The Federal Highway 5 passes through the community.

History

The name derives from the ancient mound on which lies the village center, the march community. According to studies by the radiocarbon method, the oldest part of the mound dates from about the year 200 BC to 55 AD At the time of the great migrations it was probably abandoned. New evidence of settlements can be found again until the Middle Ages. Since the coastal state was higher than in the early days, originally built mainly from manure mound with clothes had to be increased.

On 1 March 1971 the name of the municipality Trennewurth - Trennewurtherdeich was officially changed to 29 letters then one of the longest church in the name of Germany Trennewurth.

Policy

Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Community KWV has all nine seats in the municipal council.
