Geography
Geographical Location
The village Fedderingen is 10 km north of the county town of Heide, 2 km west of Hennstedt and 5 km south of the Eider.
Geology
Fedderingen is located on the western edge of the heath Itzehoer Geest. The Fedder Inger Moor is part of Lundener valley, a large lowland area within the Eider- Treene Lowland. The westernmost Broklandsau opens into the Eider.

Neighboring municipalities are Kleve in the north, Hennstedt, and Wiemerstedt in the south.

History
After Dithmar 1559 had lost its independence as a result of the last feud, Fedderingen fell to Duke Johann II After his death Fedderingen was one belonging to Süderdithmarschen exclave, because the Danish king had it reserved as a travel station.
Policy
Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Community WGF has eight seats in the municipal council. In addition, a single candidate was elected to the municipal council.

Fedderingen is located on the county road 76 The nearest train stations are Heide and Lunden. A bus line connects Fedderingen with the county town of Heath.
