Hollingstedt is a municipality in the north of the circle Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein. Hollingstedter mill and district are in the municipal area.

Geographical Location

History

The name " Hollingstedt " ( the spelling has changed over the centuries repeatedly) means something like 'place at the grove, "which formerly much more extensive Bauernwald is west of the village meant. Forest was formerly in Dithmar a rarity, so that the name " place on wood " was unmistakable.
