Wallen, Germany

Wallen is a municipality in the north of the circle Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein.

Geography

The community is located directly on the Eider. The county road 47, which connects the communities Delve and PAHLEN together, runs through Wallen.

Policy

The municipality has less than 70 residents, and thus according to § 54 of the Schleswig-Holstein Municipal Code, a community meeting, instead of a local council. The municipal assembly all belong to voting residents of the community. In Wallen is the case since 1955.

Economy and infrastructure

From 1905 to 1937, the town had a railway connection with the circular path Norderdithmarschen.
