Coat of arms

Blazon: " On black soil in gold, a bearded, clad in a green hat, a green shirt, green vest, green pants and green boots sower who scatters golden grains of a silver to the shoulder tied to a handkerchief. "

The design of the coat of arms of the municipality Kronprinzenkoog goes back to a picture window in the boardroom of the county built the house in 1895-1899 Meldorf. Before construction of the circle Süderdithmarschen called on all communities in the district to donate a coat window. The 1901 finished picture window not met the requirements of strict heraldry, but procured the communities a motif with which they could be represented. So the sower has become a part of their identity for the community Kronprinzenkoog. The heraldic makeover and official approval of the emblem was made 90 years later.
