Westerborstel
Westerborstel is a municipality in the northeastern Dithmarschen in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography
Westerborstel is just west on the outskirts of Tellingstedt, the two communities merge. East of the Westerborstel is the place Rederstall, belongs to the municipality Tellingstedt.
History
Westerborstel was created in 1934 from part of the parish Tellingstedt.
1948 coins were found in Westerborstel that had been buried here 1480-1490. Among them are coins from Mecklenburg, Lübeck, Hamburg, Lüneburg, several Danish coins.
Policy
Since the local elections in 2013, the voters Community WGW all seven seats in the municipal council.
Culture and sights
The place is considered equestrian center. A cross-country course on the grounds of a former gravel pit was designed by Herbert Blöcker Military tab.
Every year, an equestrian tournament is held.
In addition, every Sunday a high- ball tournament on the local sports field instead.
