Oldendorf is a municipality in the district of Steinburg, in Schleswig- Holstein.

Geography and transport

Oldendorf located 5 km northwest of Itzehoe. Bekau and Otten büttel mill creek forming in the west and the north the border of the municipality, the main road running south 5.

History

1217 Oldendorf was first mentioned.

Incorporations

On 1 January 1976, the small neighboring community Bekhof was incorporated.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council has the voter community FWV since the municipal election 2008, seven seats, the voter community KWV has three seats and one seat SPD

Coat of arms

The "coat of arms " of the community is not writable and thus no heraldic coat of arms in the proper sense, but assign the picture seals. It was chosen after World War II in the absence of official seals, which are free of Nazi and imperial symbols of the community and is still used today.
