Trenton Titans

The Trenton Titans were an American Hockey franchise from Trenton, New Jersey, that played in the ECHL from 1999 to 2013. Owner of the team was the Blue Line Sports LLC. As a cooperation partner of the Titans, the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and their AHL farm team, the Adirondack Phantoms served. History

The Trenton Devils were founded in 1999 under the name Trenton Titans after the ECHL had already decided in 1996 to expand the league in favor of a team in Trenton. The Titans were initially the farm team of the NHL team Philadelphia Flyers and their AHL farm team Philadelphia Phantoms, before they finished the season 2005 /06, a one-year contract with the New York Islanders and their farm team Bridgeport Sound Tigers, as the Islanders previous to their ECHL farm team in Biloxi, Mississippi were looking for a replacement since Biloxi was not available due to damage caused by Hurricane Katrina as a venue.

From the season 2006/ 07 Trenton was the farm team of the New Jersey Devils, and renamed the Trenton Devils was announced on 18 May 2007. The biggest success the team, as they were able to win Kelly Cup with a 4-2 victory against the Florida Everblades in the season 2004 /05. Already in the 2000/ 01 season they reached the Kelly Cup final, subject to there but the South Carolina Stingrays in the series 4-1.
