Fornovo di Taro
Fornovo di Taro is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 6160 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Parma, in Lombardy. The community is located about 22 kilometers southwest of Parma on taro.
History
The Battle of Fornovo took place in 1495, when a coalition army of the Venetians, the French wanted to drive them out of Italy.
Traffic
Fornovo di Taro is located on the Autostrada A15 from Parma to La Spezia. The Strada Statale 62 della Cisa via the Cisa Pass in Tuscany. Through the village leads the Via Francigena.
The ferrovia Pontremolese leads towards La Spezia. a railway station in Fornovo located along this route.
