List of town tramway systems
This list of cities with streetcars includes world cities with existing tram systems, because of its car parks and rail systems, the current track and the original opening date ( possibly as horses, benzene, gas, cable, steam tram ), not necessarily the opening date of the electrical operation. In the interim closures over several decades, the opening date of the existing network is indicated today.
There cities are listed with the administrative seat of tram operation in companies that operate several independent tram networks, the largest city of the particular network is called. Museum, heritage, and tourist trams have not been included. The following list is organized by country and cities across the boundaries and their names valid today. In 49 states there are street railway companies in Denmark is a tram system under construction.
