Mézières-en-Santerre

Mézières -en- Santerre ( Picard: Meziere -in- Santerre ) is a northern French village with 544 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes Avre Luce Moreuil, in the canton Moreuil.

Geography

The church in the countryside Santerre ranges in the north of the department of road D934 (formerly Route nationale 334) out; it is intersected by the road department D28, where it is located about 5.5 km east-northeast of Moreuil. At the hamlet of Mézières Maison -Blanche belongs to the D934.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
