Mike Rogers (Alabama politician)

Michael Dennis Rogers ( * July 16, 1958 in Hammond, Lake County, Indiana ) is an American politician ( Republican).

Career

Michael Dennis Rogers graduated from Saks High School in Anniston ( Alabama). Then he went to the Jacksonville State University, where in 1981 he took his BA in 1984 and his Master of Public Administration. His Juris Doctor he made in 1991 at the Birmingham School of Law. Rogers was between 1987 and 1990 a member of the Calhoun County Commission. Then he was between 1994 and 2002 a member of the House of Representatives from Alabama, where he was between 1998 and 2000 opposition leaders ( Minority Leader ). He was elected to the 108th U.S. Congress and reelected to the three succeeding U.S. Congresses. He has been working since January 3, 2003 U.S. House of Representatives.
