Spencer Bachus

Spencer Thomas Bachus III. ( Born December 28, 1947 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama) is an American lawyer and politician ( Republican).

Career

Spencer Thomas Bachus III. graduating in 1969 from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972 at the Law Faculty of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a Juris Doctor. He also worked 1969-1971 in the National Guard. He operated his own law practice until 1992 and an own sawmill.

Bachus also pursued a political career. He was 1983-1984 Member of the Senate of Alabama. After that, he was 1984-1987 in the House of Representatives of Alabama operates. Bachus was between 1987 and 1991 a member of the Alabama Board of Education. During this time he had 1991-1992 presided over the Alabama Republican Executive Committee. He was elected to the 103rd U.S. Congress and reelected to the eight succeeding U.S. Congresses. Bachus has been operating since January 3, 1993 at the U.S. House of Representatives.
