Hövede

Hövede is a municipality in the northeast of the circle Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein. Width mountain situated in the municipality.

Geography and transport

Through the village runs Hövede County Road 46, which connects the larger neighboring communities Hövedes, PAHLEN, Dörpling and Tellingstedt together.

History

Hövede was first mentioned in 1329 as a van Hovede which probably " hövet " of for " main " is derived and often mean a source or a projection.

Policy

The municipality has less than 70 residents, and thus according to § 54 of the Schleswig-Holstein Municipal Code, a community meeting, instead of a local council. The municipal assembly all belong to voting residents of the community.

Attractions

The width Mountain, a 40-meter -high hill with two overgrown by oaks grave hills, is a popular destination for cycling, since it offers a wide view of parts of the Norderdithmarscher Geest. Another point of interest is the Höveder pottery.
