Süderhastedt

Süderhastedt is a municipality in the district of Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein. The place is situated on the heath - Itzehoer Geest and there is a primary school. Besides Süderhastedt Neuhof, Kleinrade and small Hastedt lie in the municipality.

History

The community was the administrative seat of the parish rural community Süderhastedt until this has been resolved in the context of Schleswig -Holstein administrative reform of 1970.

Policy

Of the eleven seats in the municipal council, the CDU has been the local elections in 2013 seven seats and voters Community KWV four seats.

Coat of arms

Blazon: "In about two green crossed, upright silver swords three pile them asked silver ( heraldic ) roses with green slugs begrannten between two ears of corn. "

The roses in 1991 approved coat of arms are depicted on the altar of the Church of St. Lawrence, one of the oldest of the circle. The swords indicate that the old meaning of the name Hastedt ( attachment ) and the wheat ears emphasize the importance of agriculture for the place.
