Toledo Hornets

The Toledo Hornets were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Toledo, Ohio. The home of the Hornets was the Toledo Sports Arena.

History

The predecessor organization, the Toledo blades were renamed in 1970 in Toledo Hornets. At the successes of the Blades, who won the Turner Cup in the years 1964 and 1967, the Hornets were unable to continue. After the 1973/74 season, the team was again renamed and no longer wore the name of Toledo Goal Diggers.
