Lansing Lancers

The Lansing Lancers were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Lansing, Michigan. The venue for the Lancers was the Metro Ice Arena.

History

The Lansing Lancers were established in 1974 as a franchise of the International Hockey League. Due to the moderate sporting success, the Lancers had to fight early with a low average attendance and the resulting financial problems. During her first season, in the season 1974/75, the leaders were forced to withdraw the team from the running game operating and dissolve the franchise. At the time of their last game in the IHL - after 41 of 70 match days - lay Lansing in sixth and last place thus the East Division after they could only collect 25 points before.
