Rüber
Rüber is a municipality in the district of Mayen -Koblenz in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality May Field, which has its headquarters in the city Polch.

Geography
Rüber is located five kilometers east of Polch on a northwest to southeast, and southwest to Polcher Bach sloping ridge. The village comprises altitudes between 180 m above sea level. Sea level and 150 m above sea level. NN. Geographically, the region is divided into two parts: the northern half can be assigned to the low Maifelder height, the southern half of the capital of the Lower Maifelder sink. A smaller part of the nature reserve wetland is located at the southern boundary of the municipality in Nothbachtal. To Rüber of living space belongs Schäfermühle.
Over borders (clockwise ) to the local communities notches Lonnig, Kobern- Gondorf, cold, to the city Munstermaifeld, to the local community and to the city Gappenach Polch.
History
Over 964 is first mentioned as Ruveris. 1563 included the town under the name Rüweren 26, 1683 27 fireplaces. Gorgeous country they belonged to the late 18th century to the Electorate of Trier and was under the administration of the Office Münster- May- field. Rüber was the seat of a home Burgers in High Court in Münster - May- field.

The local council in Rüber consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Culture and sights
Church
The Catholic branch church of St. Margaret ( parish Lonnig; built in 1909/10 by William Hector from Saarbrücken) is a neo-Gothic hall building made of black basalt.
Backes
Renovated in 1979, old brick house (" Backes " ) of 1826 is a historical monument. Here was tuned to 1955 according to upper and lower village baked bread.
Since 1991, the bakery on special occasions is a used up twice a year.
