The municipality consists of the villages Schafstedt Schafstedt, Dückerswisch, Hohenhörn, Hanroden and North wood.

History

The place name Schafstedt, Low German " Schapestede " in the meaning " place of sheep" could be indicative of the economic value that the sheep and sheep farming for this place had earlier.
