Cavalier County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Langdon.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern North Dakota, bordered on the north by Canada and has an area of ​​3911 square kilometers, of which 56 square kilometers are water surface. It borders in the United States clockwise to the following counties: Pembina County, Walsh County, Ramsey County and Towner County.

History

Cavalier County was formed in 1873. It was named after Charles Cavalier, one of the first settlers immigrated from Europe in this field.
