The Kidder County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Steele.

Geography

The County is located just southeast of the geographic center of North Dakota and has an area of ​​3712 square kilometers, of which 213 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Wells County, Stutsman County, Logan County, Emmons County, Burleigh County and Sheridan County.

History

Kidder County was formed in 1873. It was named after Jefferson Parrish Kidder, a delegate of the Dakota Territory in the 44th and 45th U.S. Congress.
