Eddy County (North Dakota)

The Eddy County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is New Rockford.

Geography

The County is located north-east of the geographic center of North Dakota and has an area of 1889 square kilometers, of which 37 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Benson County, Nelson County, Griggs County, Foster County and Wells County.

History

Eddy County was formed in 1885. It was named for Ezra B. Eddy, one of the first bankers of this area in Fargo.
