Benson County, North Dakota

Benson County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Minnewaukan.

Geography

The County is located in the central northeastern North Dakota and has an area of ​​3728 square kilometers, of which 152 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Towner County, Ramsey County, Nelson County, Eddy County, Wells County and Pierce County.

History

Benson County was formed in 1883. It was named after Bertil W. Benson, an early politician in the Dakota Territory.
