The McHenry County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Towner.

Geography

The County is located in the north of North Dakota, is about 50 km from the border with Canada away and has an area of ​​4951 square kilometers, of which 97 square kilometers are water surface. History

McHenry County was formed in 1873. It was named after James McHenry, an early settler in the area.
