Ransom County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lisbon.

Geography

The County is located almost in the extreme southeastern North Dakota and has an area of ​​2238 square kilometers, of which 4 square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Cass County, Richland County, Sargent County, Dickey County, LaMoure County and Barnes County.

History

Ransom County was formed in 1873. It was named after himself nearby Fort Ransom.
