Rolette County is a county located in the state of North Dakota in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Rolla.

Geography

The County is located in the north of North Dakota, bordering Canada and has an area of ​​2433 square kilometers, of which 96 square kilometers are water surface. It borders in the United States clockwise to the following counties: Towner County, Pierce County and Bottineau County.

History

Rolette County was formed in 1873. It was named after Joseph Rolette, Jr., an early political leader in this area.
