Geography

The County is located in west-central North Dakota and has an area of ​​5393 square kilometers, of which 188 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Mountrail County, McLean County, Mercer County, Stark County, Billings County and McKenzie County.

History

Dunn County was formed in 1883. It was named after John P. Dunn, an early political leader in Bismarck.
