Herresbach

Herresbach is a municipality in the district of Mayen -Koblenz in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Vordereifel, which has its administrative headquarters in Mayen.

Community structure

To Herresbach the districts Doettingen and Eschbach and the living space ( restaurant ) are Döttinger height.

On the boundaries of the municipality extends from the dovetail up to the height Döttinger a part of the Nürburgring.

History

Herre Bach belonged to the rule Olbrück, the middle of the 16th century came to the Baron Waldbott of Bassenheim. To rule Olbrück included, inter alia, also the neighboring villages Siebenbach, Doettingen, Eschbach and Jammelshofen. In Doettingen was a royal court.

During the French occupation the places came to the Mairie Virneburg.

Parish council

The local council in Herre Bach consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009, by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Coat of arms

Blazon: " divided by gold over blue, above a growing black red reinforced eagle, down three golden ears ".

The coat of arms is conducted since 1991. While the eagle refers to the former belonging to the territory of the Empire Knights of Waldbott Bassenheim, the ears, the three subsites Herresbach, Doettingen and Eschbach symbolize.

Church

The Catholic Guardian Angel Chapel in Herre Bach was built in 1843 in the style of Johann Claudius von Lassaulx and is the apostle Matthias and the Guardian Angels consecrated. The Döttinger Chapel St. Lüfthildis was built in 1863.

Trade

The Planning Association " Business Park at the Nürburgring " is supported by the Association of Municipalities Vordereifel, Kelberg and Adenau and local congregations Herresbach, Meuspath and Drees.
