Jens Doberschütz

Jens Doberschütz ( born October 5, 1957 in Dresden ) is a retired rower from the GDR. 1980 Doberschütz Olympic champion in the eighth.

The rowers from SC DHfK Leipzig in 1979 belonged to a successful rowing community from SC DHfK and unit of Dresden. The boat with Bernd Schlufter and Walter Ullrich and Dießner and helmsman Lutz Werner won the first East German league title and then the title at the World Championships 1979 in Bled. While the Dießner Brothers 1980 in a new cast Olympic champion with the four were joined Doberschütz 1980 in the GDR eighth. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 of eight won in the cast Bernd Krauss, Hans -Peter Koppe, Ulrich Kons, Jörg Friedrich, Jens Doberschütz, Ulrich Karnatz, Uwe Dühring and batsman Bernd Hoeing with Klaus -Dieter Ludwig as helmsman with almost three seconds ahead of the second placed British. Doberschütz is qualified sports teacher and opened after the fall of a gym in Leipzig, in addition he has worked as a rowing coach. The rowers John Doberschütz is the son of Jens Doberschütz. The rowing Olympic champion Gerlinde Doberschütz is his brother Sven 's wife.
