Cambodia at the Olympics

Cambodia, the NOK, the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, established in 1984 and was recognized in 1994 by the IOC since 1964 takes part in the Olympic Summer Games. As early as 1956 two horsemen were sent to the Equestrian Games in Stockholm. Another part of Cambodian athletes took place in 1972 under the name Khmer Republic. In the next 24 years, Cambodia stayed away from the Olympics, only since 1996, the country is a permanent participant of the summer games. On winter games so far participated athletes not from Cambodia.

In 1996, with the 12 -year-old swimmer Hem Reaksmey the youngest athlete Cambodia part. She was also the youngest athlete of the Games in Atlanta. The oldest participant was in 2000 with 32 years of marathon runners To Rithya.
