Colombia at the Olympics

Colombia, the NOK, the Comité Olímpico was Colombiano, founded in 1936, sent the first time in 1932 athletes to the Summer Games. Until 1952 Colombia participated in all the following summer games. First time in 2010, a delegation was sent to Winter Games.

A total of 523 participants were sent, of which 115 are women.

Successful athletes with two medals are the marksman Helmut Bellingrodt ( two silver ), which is also the first medal winner Colombia, as well as the wrestler Jackeline Rentería (two bronze medals ). The first Olympic victory won 2000 's Weightlifting María Urrutia.

1968 began with the twelve -year-old swimmer Olga de Angulo, the youngest athlete part of Colombia. The oldest participant was 52 years in 1988 with the rider Héctor Rodríguez.
