Sierra Leone at the Olympics

Sierra Leone, the NOK, the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone, founded in 1964 and has been recognized in the same year by the IOC, took part in 1968 in the Olympic Summer Games. 1972 was dispensed to participate in 1976 joined one to the boycott of the Games of Montreal. At the Winter Games No athletes have so far been sent.

A total of 58 participants were sent, of which eleven women. There have been no medal winners.

Youngest participant in 2004 was the athlete Hawanatu Bangura, who went to the start at the age of 16 years. The oldest participant was in 1988 with 41 years of marathon runners Baba Ibrahim Suma Keita.
